Stoneware. Fine, light-coloured body, covered with honey-coloured, so-called Ameyu glaze and dark brown iron glaze applied to the shoulder. Boxwood lid. Shifuku (cloth pouch) and kiri wooden box, inscribed on the lid by the tea master Sen Takusai Sasa (1744-1808, 8th lemoto of the Omote-senke school).
