Both plates decorated with Shiba Onko, or "hob in the well" pattern, after a Japanese Kakiemon original, one child struggling to escape from a large jar, his companion about to throw a stone to break the jar and release him, the rim edged in dark red and brown and decorated with indianische Blumen, both 26cm diam.
