The painting is occupied by a large figure of Amida Buddha standing in samabhanga on a lotus base with both hands showing the vitarkamudra, wearing a monastic robe including underskirt and wide-sleeved patchwork mantle covering both shoulders, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, mustache and goatee framing his mouth, the curled hairdo continuing into the low ushnisha decorated to its front with the ratna-emblem, head-halo behind and beams radiating out from his head.
