Reverse: Crowned coat of arms of the Free City of Danzig, supported by two upright lions, a star above, year “1923” below. Edge: Inscription “NEC TEMERE NEC TIMIDE”. The Latin inscription “NEC TEMERE NEC TIMIDE” translates to “Neither rashly nor timidly” and was the motto of the City of Danzig.
