This elegant timepiece with a fine dial boasting an exquisite hand-crafted guilloche pattern appeals in particular to those watch afficionados revering the supreme skills of traditional watchmaking. The watch face shows not only hours and minutes on two separate dials, but also displays a second time zone, date and power reserve. The L.U.C. Quattro Regulator features a sapphire back revealing the fine movement with the prestigious Geneva seal and is powered by calibre 1.98 using Chopard’s "Quattro" technology translating into the use of four barrels, that are stacked in pairs of two. Due to this patented design the watch has an amazing 216 hour (9 days) power reserve. Chopard was established in 1860 by Louis-Ulysse Chopard in the small village of Sonvilier in Switzerland. In 1963 the founder’s grandson Paul André Chopard sold the company to Karl Scheufele, the descendant of a dynasty of watchmakers and jewellers from Pforzheim. Under the Scheufele’s management Chopard gained a fine reputation in the field of Haute Horlogerie. The initials L.U.C stand for Louis-Ulysse Chopard. In 1996 Chopard established their own watch factory in Fleurier, where the L.U.C. timepieces are developed and produced. From 2007 on the factory employed a staff of 108 employees in 15 different professional areas. The factory produces 3,000 movements per year, which all come with COSC certificate. Case: very good.
