Decorated in Imari style with the "Miramare" pattern and the Imperial arms of Mexico on the tray and the bowl, the teapot with the Imperial monogram "MIM" (Maximiliano I de México), pierced borders, the handles modelled as Chinese men and the covers applied with hare finials, the reverse of the tray decorated in black enamel and silvering with a reverse of the front pattern, comprising:
a tray;
a teapot and cover;
a sugar bowl and cover;
a waste bowl;
a milk jug;
a tea strainer in the shape of a large pierced spoon;
two cups and saucers;
two tea spoons,
in the original fitted case lined in red velvet, the tray: 33cm across; the case: 34.5cm x 47cm x 19.5cm, shield marks and ".5." in blue to saucers, bowl, teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl, one saucer with additional ".i." in blue, the cups with ".5." in blue, the cups and sugar bowl with incised "Herend" (15 including case)
