• Lot n° 4 A good and rare mid 19th century numbered skeleton clock timepiece with deadbeat escapement and two-week duration John Pace, Bury St Edmunds, number 245 John Pace, Bury St Edmunds, number 245 The frame consisting or a pair of tapered plates with bevelled edge, united by a pair of pillars to the base and a hipped bracket at the top supporting the pendulum rise-and-fall fine screw regulation, on an angled brass base fully signed and numbered in copperplate script across the front edge. The 3.5 inch skeletonised Arabic chapter ring set within a dotted-minute border, and with blued steel hands. The movement with a going barrel of two week duration, high count pinions and very delicate wheels of five and six crossings, with deadbeat escapement to a polished steel pendulum rod with halberd-shaped cast brass bob, a sub-plate set to the rear of the frame carrying a four wheel train to drive the hands, the whole frame raised on a walnut base and protected by a glass dome.
