The slender bell strap surmounted and supported by baluster finials between foliate scroll frets, the foremost with a central shield engraved with a lion passant, over the 3.75 inch Roman and Arabic chapter ring with cruciform half hour markers, blued steel hour and minute hands, the dial plate engraved with foliate spandrels and signature below a strapwork panel, centred on the alarm setting disc, the weight driven two train verge movement with silk suspension pendulum, plain hammer stop and spring, the alarm work fitted to the rear frame and iron backplate. 22cm (9 1/2in) high
