The case sumounted by a decorated brass carrying handle over an inverted bell top with four later finials to each corner over a moulded top with brass banding, the front with cast sound frets and brass lock escutcheon to the left hand side, the sides and back with glazed observation windows, terminating in a moulded base and sitting on brass bun feet. The 7 inch brass dial with silvered chapter ring with black Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers with lozenge half hour markers, the matted centre with mock pendulum aperture and calendar aperture signed in a finely finished cartouche Dan Delander, London, framed by cast brass spandrels within floral engraved decoration with strike/silent and pendulum rise and fall to the break arch. The double fusee movement with gut lines striking the hours on a bell mounted above and quarter repeating on a nest of six polished bells and hammers, with verge escapement and short bob pendulum, the back plate finely engraved, currently ticking and striking. 50cms (20ins) high.
