As mentioned, the canvas has been laid to Masonite. Blacklight: Unevenly cleaned old varnish layer, making it somewhat difficult to read under blacklight. A mix of older and newer touch-up. Areas include both faces, the woman's left hand, the yarn, two large strips at the outer vertical left and right edges (the largest is about 8" H x 0.5" W), as well as some smaller scattered lines, dots, and other small areas.
