A Mexican sarape Circa 1920s Finely woven in blue, tan, brown and orange wool with four central floating diamonds, multiple banded motifs, striped ombré banding and elaborate knotted fringing to each end 80" H x 37.75" W approximately Overall good condition with dust accumulation, minor creasing, and typical signs of wear commensurate with age and use. A few scattered faint spots. One side with a few pale patchy marks and faint smudges. A couple of tiny splits to side edge, 0.125". Each side with scattered small areas of shallow insect grazing. Fringe slightly ravelled and with a few scattered breaks to knotwork.
