• Lot n° 14 An interesting late 19th century French chain fusee carriage clock timepiece Brevet, Paris Brevet, Paris The case sumounted by a silvered brass carrying handle over a rectangular observation window, the sides supported by simple columns and terminating in a moulded base. The 3 inch rectangular dial with gilt sight ring and white enamel centre with black Roman numerals and blued steel hands, surrounded by a finely engine-turned gilt mask. The single train movement powered by a fine chain fusee, signed on the back plate Brevet, Paris, fitted with a silvered Swiss lever platform escapement. 17cm (6.5 inches) high.
