The brass posted movement surmounted by a 2 inch bell on a steel post over turned finials and tapering columns to shaped feet. The 2.75 inch Roman chapter ring with arrow-head half hour markers and inner quarter hour track, with unusual curve lower profile around VI, now carrying the signature D Quare, London, with foliate engraved centre and Arabic alarm setting disc with single blued steel hand. The weight driven movement with verge escapement and short bob pendulum, the alarm train set inside the rear panel. Contained within an (early 19th century?) mahogany floorstanding case with geometric ebony inlay, free-standing Doric columns to the hood over a long trunk door and tall plinth base on bracket feet. Ticking. The case 1.69m (5ft 7ins). The clock 11cms (4.25ins) to the top of the bell (Quare)
