The 10 inch square dial with silvered Roman chapter ring and fleur-de-lys half hour markers emanating from the quarter-track, the dial centre intricately engraved with flowing floral decoration centred by a (replaced) Arabic alarm setting dial, all framed by engraved tulip corners, signed along the lower edge Jonathan Lowndes, London, with single steel hand. The posted movement with four turned pillars, the going train with crown wheel and verge escapement to a short bob pendulum, striking the hours via a count wheel on a bell mounted above, with alarm work set from the rear, currently ticking and striking. 63cms (25ins) high.
