• Lot n° 1184 A Jacob Petit porcelain scent bottle and stopper Jacob Petit (1797-1868), circa 1840 Signed in blue underglaze: JP With an openwork gallery to shoulder above the body painted with gilt foliate accents, each side decorated with painted flowers, raised on dolphin-form feet 9" H x 4.625" W x 4.625" D Overall good condition with shelf wear, scattered minor scuffs, and inherent firing flaws commensurate with age. The shoulder crevice with some dust accumulation and soiling. No evidence of restorations or repairs under UV light.
