Two Mexican Talavera pottery jars 20th century; Puebla, Mexico Each unmarked Comprising a large baluster-form jar with opposed scrunched ribbon handles, one side featuring a painted polychrome basket with fruits, the other side depicting two birds and floral motifs, and a smaller jar with banded Chinese-style blue foliate motifs centering polychrome flowers 2 pieces Larger: 19.5" H x 15" W x 12.5" D; Smaller: 10.375" H x 8.25" Dia. Each with shelf wear, scattered scuffs, and inherent firing flaws commensurate with age. The smaller with a surface repair measuring 3" x 1.25", a pea-sized chipped loss to center of body, and 3" long scuff with possible repair. The larger with a chipped loss at edge of base, measuring 1" x 0.75" large.
