The brass carrying handle over a bell top with cast urn finials to each corner over a moulded cornice, the front with cast sound fret quadrants backed in green silk, the sides with floral cast mounts including central cherubs heads, raised on a moulded base and four elaborately cast and decorated feet. The 7 inch brass dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring enclosing the plain centre signed Thomas Pace, London with circular calendar aperture and blued steel hands framed by cast brass spandrels with strike/silent subsidiary to the break arch. The twin fusee movement now with steel lines with verge escapement and short bob pendulum, striking the hours on a polished bell mounted above, the back plate with fine neoclassical engraving with floral detailing and secured in the case with matching engraved brackets, currently ticking and striking. 53cms (21ins) high.
