A Mexican textile Mid/late 20th century A heavy textile woven in two pieces in black, grey, cream, and multicolored wool featuring a central Mexican coat-of-arms eagle and snake medallion with stepped and hooked motifs with birds to each side and striped banding to ends, seamed down the center 80" H x 62.5" W approximately (excluding fringe) Overall good condition with dust accumulation, minor creasing, and typical signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Issues include, but not limited to: scattered areas of yellowing and staining, especially to top edge. Side B with scattered small spots of red paint, and darkening to cream wool at top third. A small area to center with minor stitch loss to weave. .
