The shaped pierced frame united by turned baluster pillars over three pairs of coils set between two pairs of lacquered brass tapering columns, the centre wheel set in front of a spring remontoir driving the deadbeat escapement and wood-rod pendulum suspended from a block held between a pair of 10.5inch columns mounted at the rear. The silvered skeletonised chapter ring with scalloped outer edge marked for every minute, with blued steel hands, all set on a circular moulded base with applied label for G.W.MASON, MAKER, LIVERPOOL, 1914, with a battery compartment below (taking two D-cells). Under a glass dome. To the top of the frame 34cms (13.5ins) high.
