The reverse bears the inscription “Tonkin, Chine, Annam, 1883-1885” as well as the names of the seven engagements: “Cau-Giaï, Sontay, Bac-Ninh, Fou-Tchéou, Formose, Tuyen-Quan and Pescadores”. Silver medal with hallmark, variant for naval personnel with seven battles.
