The 4.25 inch rectangular white enamel Roman dial with minute track and trefoil hands for the time and a finely tapering hand for the alarm setting, over a subsidiary selection arc offering Silence/Sonnerie or Quarters. The movement wound on opening the front door, with cylinder platform escapement with monometallic balance to delicate wheelwork, the polished steel strike work and bells mounted on the backplate and accessible through the rear door. Ticking, the strike train in need of attention, the alarm fully functioning and wound via a cord emanating from the rear corner of the top. 23cms (9ins) high.
