A rare Staffordshire Royal commemorative redware teapot and cover, circa 1761 Of attractive small size with a tapered spout and loop handle, the cylindrical body applied with sprigged decoration, both sides depicting the crowned figures of King George III and Queen Charlotte seated and holding hands, flanked by winged Cupids and beneath the initials 'G R', others depicting elegantly dressed chinoiserie ladies at various pursuits, including one with a bird, the low domed cover sprigged with formal scroll and foliate motifs and with a turned finial, 7.8cm high (2)
