Kaendler of 1746, as a Roman emperor, the figure seated on a richly-scrolled chair surmounted by a crown, wearing lavish robes of purple decorated with gilt and black scrolls, with richly gilt armour to his shoulder styled as a lion's head mask, gilt belt with a fleur-de-lys over a blue skirt and gilt sandals, holding a laurel wreath, on a semi- circular base moulded with gilt drapery, 18.4cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised model number 792, impressed numeral and painter's numeral in iron-read
