The 2.5 inch rectangular dial with Roman chapter ring within a mask of foliage against a hatched ground, with polished signature plaque signed JAMES MCCABE, Royal Exchange, London, 2486. The twin chain fusee movement with maintaining power to the cruciform-shaped platform carrying the gilt metal monometallic balance and underslung lever escapement, striking on a coiled steel gong. 18.5cms (7.25ins) high.
