The 8 inch brass dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with a matted centre signed in a silvered cartouche William Frodsham, London with a separate calendar aperture and blued steel hands framed by cast brass spandrels with a strike/silent subsidiary decorated with a shaped star to the break arch. The double fusee movement now with steel lines and verge escapement striking the hours on a polished bell mounted above and quarter repeating on a nest of six polished bells and hammers, the back plate fully engraved, currently ticking and striking. 55cms (22ins) high.
