• Lot n° 134 An interesting early 19th century Patent quarter repeating alarm timepiece "Trusted's Patent Repeater". Further stamped Wm. Bartlett, Birmingham housed in a mahogany arched case with inlaid columns to the full width front door, solid sides and back on a moulded base with ogee bracket feet. The 3 inch enamel Arabic dial with gold spade hands set in a cast bezel. The watch type movement wound through the dial, the chain fusee simultaneously driving the verge escapement and setting the vertical rack for the alarm, with pull repeat sounding on the bell above, and the alarm striking on a bell below 23cms (9ins) high.
