A pair of Cochiti Pueblo hide drums Early 20th century Comprising a two-headed hand drum with handle, and a two-headed polychrome ceremonial drum with hide stretched over a cottonwood trunk 2 pieces Hand drum: 3.5" H x 23.75" W x 22.75" D; Ceremonial: 14.75" H x 12.25" W x 12" D Provenance: Private Estate, Southern California The hand drum with a 1.5" x 1" repaired hole. Rubbed wear and losses to ceremonial polychrome. Each with stiffening to hide, soiling, and scuffs and scratches throughout commensurate with age.
