A Mexican Post-Maximilian sarape Circa 1875-1885 Woven in fine cream wool with an elaborate multicolored aggregate-style central diamond, scattered green ticking to the central field, and blue and multicolored striped banding to each end, with elaborate knotted fringing 77" H x 43.5" W approximately Overall good condition with dust accumulation, creasing, and typical signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Side A with slight fading. A few scattered spots and faint stains overall. A couple of minor breaks to cotton fringe.
