The 6.5 inch square dial with a solid silver chapter ring with black Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers with fleur-de-lys half hour markers, the matted centre with signed mock pendulum aperture and calendar aperture framed by cast silver cherub head spandrels(chapter ring and spandrels later). The twin fusee movement united by six knopped pillars, striking the hours on a polished bell mounted above and repeating on a nest of three bells and hammers, with verge escapement and short bob pendulum. The backplate finely engraved with floral decoration centred by a standing Roman soldier above a name cartouche signed Peter Garon, London, currently ticking and striking. 27cms (11ins) high.
