A Bow figure of the muse Euterpe, circa 1750-54 By the 'Muses Modeller', seated with her right arm resting on an organ with masked stops above the keys, and the inscription 'Euterpe for the musical instruments' at its base, holding a large flute or trumpet in her left hand, wearing white, pink and yellow robes with cuffs washed in pale blue, further musical instruments at her feet, including a lute, triangle and some pipes all picked out in colours, 15.5cm high
